NCC Summer Tournament 2003

The Naval Campaigns Club Summer Tournament will begin shortly.

This is an opportunity for everyone to try their skills in a series of competitive rounds with other players. Kapitän z.S. McClellan has devised a series of fiendishly clever new scenarios using his new pdt especially for the tourney -- promising to make this an interesting challenge!

The format will be as follows. Depending on the number of entrants, the players will be split into a number of 4 or 5 player groups. Each player will play each other player in their group in a 1 on 1 matchup. A player will get 1 point for a draw, 2 points for a minor victory, and 4 points for a major victory (and no points for a loss of course). At the end, the high scorer from each group will pass into a final group, where they will play in a round robin format to determine the NCC champion.

The players will be told what side they will play in each game when the groups are assigned. (So, players may end up playing either side in tournament games depending on the assignments.) The start date will be mid-June, and the first round should be completed by all players by Independence Day.

If you have any questions, please get in touch with me.

Captain Sir Carl Selbo, K.B.E., D.S.O.
